Reduce Heat Loss with Secondary Glazing

Our slimline Secondary Glazing will minimise cold draughts, reduce heat loss and lower energy bills.

Arctic Glaze’s range of bespoke Secondary Glazing is designed to provide enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation while protecting your home from unwanted intruders. Increasing thermal insulation will not only make rooms feel notably warmer, but it will also lead to reduced energy consumption resulting in lower energy costs.

Over time un-maintained period timber windows often warp, this creates small gaps in the frame which allows cold draughts to enter your property. Cold draughts will pull warm air out of your property, resulting in a lower/colder ambient temperature. Our range of Aluminium Secondary Glazing is specifically designed to help increase thermal insulation by as much as 65%.

It is designed to seal in the warmth while preventing cold draughts from entering your home.

To provide enhanced thermal insulation, we recommend installing the Secondary Glazed system no greater than 80mm away from your primary window. This creates an insulating air cavity between your primary window and the Secondary Glazed Unit. Furthermore, our Secondary Glazed systems can be installed with speciality Low-E glass or our Hinged Secondary Glazing range features double glazing.

We support homeowners, architects and commercial contractors across the whole of the United Kingdom where our friendly customer care team can help you specify a Secondary Glazing system and glass specification designed to combat heat loss and increase thermal insulation.

Secondary Glazing Thermal Insulation
